Mission and Vision

Land Component

The land component of the Timor-Leste Defense Forces is an essential part of the country's defense. It consists of military units that operate on land, such as infantry, artillery, and engineering.

The central structure of Timor Leste Defense Force

The central structure of the Timor-Leste Defense Forces is composed of various organs and entities that play fundamental roles in the defense and security of the country. Among these organs, the General Staff of the Timor-Leste Defense Forces (F-FDTL) stands out, responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of military operations. Additionally, the Naval Component Command and the Land Component Command are responsible for the management and operation of naval and land forces, respectively. Within the central structure, there is also the Joint Staff, which coordinates joint activities between the different components of the Defense Forces.
