Armed Forces Of 5 Countries Participate In Joint Exercise In Timor-Leste

The Armed Forces of 5 countries participated in the 12th Hari Hamutuk (HH24) exercise with the objective of further strengthening cooperation in the area of ​​engineering. New Zealand.
According to the Chief of Staff General FALINTIL-Timor-Leste Defense Force (F-FDTL) Lieutenant General Domingos Raúl “Falur Rate Laek” said, this exercise is held for the 12th time.
"This exercise follows the experiences of the F-FDTL military together with 4 countries, we continue to do this exercise to exchange experiences especially, thank the ambassadors especially the community of four countries, which they came to cooperate with we, although we are a small country but they come to project us to the world to know us," said Lieutenant General Falur Rate Laek after finished the opening of the Building Together Exercise (HH24) at the Service Support Unit (UAS) Metinaru, Dili.
He said the exercise not only provides capacity and exchange experience but also projects the image of Timor Leste to the world.
He said the activities that will be carried out during the exercise Hari Hamutuk (HH24) are construction activities, horizontal and vertical support called Civil Military (CIMIC) to improve schools in Hato-Udu Ainaro Municipality.
He added that now his part is designing programs and to ask the partner countries will come to teach agriculture to the military, "he concluded.
In the same place, Japanese Ambassador to Timor Leste Tetsuya Kimiura thanked for the cooperation to carry out this joint exercise.
"I wish you all the best and we look forward to the final results of this joint exercise," he said.
Meanwhile, Australian Ambassador to Timor Leste, Caitlin Wilson also said Australia and other countries support F-FDTL to increase their capacity and knowledge in many areas especially in engineering techniques to raise their knowledge.
