D6 represent FALINTIL-FDTL Participate in the International Conference on Digital Transformation

On March 20 and 21, 2025, FALINTIL-FDTL was represented at the International Conference with the theme “Harnessing Digital Transformation to Strengthen Public Services: Promoting Transparency, Efficiency and Effectiveness”. The event was held at the Dili Convention Center (CCD) and organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The conference brought together government leaders, technology experts, international representatives and members of civil society to discuss crucial topics related to digital transformation, digital economy, emerging technologies, cybersecurity and connectivity infrastructure management.

The FALINTIL-FDTL delegation was composed of:

These representatives actively participated in the discussions, bringing the perspective of the armed forces on digital security and connectivity.

The following topics were highlighted among the topics covered:

• Cybersecurity: Strategies shared by experts from Australia and Vietnam, essential to protect military systems against cyber threats.

• Connectivity Infrastructure: International experiences on submarine cable management and national connectivity, essential to modernize military communications.

• Emerging Technologies: Artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and cloud computing as strategic tools for defense and security.

FALINTIL-FDTL's participation reflects its commitment to keeping up with global technological transformations and strengthening its operational capabilities. The integration of cybersecurity and emerging technologies will be essential to guarantee national sovereignty and internal security.
