The FALINTIL-FDTL Transmission Team provides training on the installation of radio systems and tower antennas for the FAG and CN

The Transmission Team of the Communication and Information Systems Division (D6) of the FALINTIL-FDTL provided specialized technical training on the installation of a radio system and tower antenna, aimed at personnel of the General Support Force (FAG) and the Naval Component (CN). The training was held in the municipality of Manatuto and had the active participation of members of both units, including a woman, who highlighted the institution's commitment to inclusion and gender equality.

 

The main objective of this training is to train participants in the correct and safe installation of communication systems, with a special focus on the installation of tower antennas, radio connections and signal testing. This type of training is essential to ensure effective communications in field operations and to maintain the operational readiness of the F-FDTL.

During the training, participants received theoretical and practical instructions on the following topics:

Safety procedures for climbing and working on towers;

Assembly and alignment of antennas;

Connection and calibration of radios;

Signal tests and communication coverage checks.

The initiative reflects D6's ongoing commitment to strengthening the technical capabilities of operational units, promoting the updating of knowledge and the standardization of procedures in the area of ​​military communications.
