FALINTIL-East Timor Defence Forces (F-FDTL), together with the NGO Permatil, planted trees in Tasi Tolu Lagoon, Dili-East Timor.

In an interview, Colonel Renilde Guteres Cortereal e Silva, current deputy Chief of Staff of FALINTIL-FDTL, said that the objective today is to plant trees to revitalize our lands because we ourselves are damaging our environment, and the effect of the road such as flooding, high temperature so they plant these trees, because we are all concerned that the ecosystem of our country remains good. The Deputy Chief of Staff of FALINTIL-FDTL said.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chief of Staff of FALINTIL-FDTL would like to appeal to all Timorese to refrain from arbitrarily cutting and burning trees, because we arbitrarily cut and burn trees, which causes heat and flooding in the rainy season in some places.
