The representative of CEMGFA, the Naval Component Commander, Commodore Higino Das Neves, opened the boxing event to celebrate FALINTIL's 50th anniversary.

At the opening ceremony, the representative of CEMGFA, the Naval Component Commander stated: "Today we are all here to celebrate FALINTIL's 50th anniversary, and I believe this event is to remember our Aswain, who passed away. It means that our union aims to create personal friendships, especially for you young people, and to showcase your talents. Events like this, but don't continue causing trouble abroad, because the future of this country is in your hands."

According to the schedule, the event will last five days, from August 15 to 19, 2025.

Participating in the Opening Ceremony were Minister of Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Representative of the CEMGFA, Representative of the Deputy Prime Minister, Representative of the Minister of Defense, Representative of the Minister of Justice, Representative of the Commander-in-Chief of the PNTL, President of the National Olympic Federation, and President of the National Boxing Federation of TL.
