In his speech, he stated that August 20 is the day on which FALINTIL exists to continue the struggle for the national liberation of the people of Timor-Leste and this country. "The objective of this struggle is to achieve the unilateral proclamation of independence, which justifies our holding the 50th FALINTIL ceremony to honor this day as a national day. We praise and honor our heroes and heroines, former combatants, and founders of the national liberation movement, such as Dr. Xavier do Amaral, Nicolau Lobato, Vice President Maulear, National Political Commissar Saudoso Sahe, the late National Political Commissar Maukruma, Cezar Maulaka, Deputy Nahabere, Deputy Tripas, as well as those who heroically faced enemy bullets on the battlefield," said Lt.
