The ceremony commemorating the 50th FALINTIL Day will take place on August 20. Therefore, the F-FDTL command intends to hold a solemn ceremony at this location to commemorate the events that occurred on December 31, 1978, when President Nicolau dos Reis Lobato and his family passed away in the battle in Binani, Suco Mindelo, Turiskai Administrative Post, Manufahi Municipality.

Participating in this ceremony were His Excellency the President of the Republic, DR. José Ramos Horta, Vice Minister of Parliamentary Affairs; Mr. Aderito Hugo, Chief of the General Staff of the F-FDTL; Lieutenant General Domingos Raúl Falur Rate Laek, Deputy Chief of Staff of the F-FDTL; Major General Calisto Santos "COLIATI", Chief of Staff of the F-FDTL; Brigadier General José da Costa Soares "Trix"; Retired Lieutenant General Lere Anan Timur, Representative of the Ministry of Planning; Investment Strategist; President of the Manufahi Municipal Authority; Municipal Police Commander; President of the Manufahi National Liberation Fighters; Community Leaders and the community, including students.
