The FALINTIL Institution - Armed Forces of Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) opened the Under-40 edition of the FALINTIL to celebrate its 50th anniversary, paying tribute to the heroes and heroines who gave their lives for this country.
At the opening, the Head of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Defense affirmed that this game is an activity that brings together the public to pay tribute to the Aswa'in, who in the last fifty years dedicated their lives to the construction of the State of the RDTL.
The objective of the tournament, with 11 modalities of football Under-40, is to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the FALINTIL, which will take place on August 20 this year.
The opening will take place with the first game of the club. FC. Portuguese Community against FC. Ground Force Component (GFT) with a 1-1 draw. In addition, seventeen (17) clubs participated in the FALINTIL-U40 Cup, held at the Football Field of the Fatuhada Headquarters, in Dili.
The opening ceremony was attended by the F-FDTL command structure, officials from the Ministry of Defense, local authorities of Bairro Pité and Fatu-Hada, and clubs that will compete in the Cup.

Command of the FALINTIL - Forces de Defesa de Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) A team commanded by Captain Germano Nesta, together with five sergeants, including two Praças, is currently conducting reconnaissance in premises that begin in the Administrative Post of Balibo, Posto de Maliana, Posto de Kapioku, Municipality of Kapio Bobonaro, Posto de Halemenu, Municipality of Ermera, Posto de Railaco of the Municipality of Ermera and, finally, in the Headquarters of Fatuhada, in Dili. In coordination with the local authority of the Municipality of Bobonaro, the Municipality of the PNTL of Bobonaro, and also with the Municipal Authority of Ermera, Hatulia Post, Gleno Post, Railaku, including the Municipalities and Health Posts, is carrying out recognition in commemoration of the planting of the field 50th anniversary, on August 20, which will march on foot starting in Balibo and ending in Dili
According to the plan, the Institution of the F-FDTL, a team commanded by Captain Nesta, will join the students of the School of Love of Nature (ESHANA-FEG UNTL) and will begin with a mass of thanksgiving in the Church of Balibo on August 9th. Ten (10) trainees completed the second Intensive Course of Portuguese for Specific Purposes, level A1/A2, and the level B1/level B2 will be in the experimental phase, held at the Commander Nicolau Lobato Instruction Center, in Metinaro, Díli.
In his speech, the Commander of the General Support Force, Lieutenant-Colonel João Bosco Ximenes "LENOK", thanked His Excellencies for his presence at the closing ceremony of the second Intensive Portuguese Course for Specific Purposes.
“The second Intensive Course of Portuguese for Specific Purposes, with a duration of one year, has as its main objective to train Timorese military personnel as trainers of Portuguese for Specific Purposes, so that the F-FDTL can count on Timorese military personnel qualified for the teaching of Portuguese in various component organizations, organizations and units”.
The Portuguese language is important for the TL as an indispensable and distinctive means of affirming the country in the geopolitical context of Southeast Asia, and essential for the realization of its political and strategic objectives in this region of the world. Commander FAG said.
On the other hand, the Technical Director of Project-2, Lieutenant-Colonel of Infantry, Bruno Miguel Clara Fernandes Gaspar Mendes, affirmed that it is a great honor for all of us to be invited to this symbolic closing of the 2nd Intensive Portuguese Language Course for Specific Finnish Languages (SPCIE).
“This training contributes directly to the professional development and development of the military of the F-FDTL, in their mastery of the Portuguese language, as Timorese trainers and future trainers of the Portuguese language for specific purposes, allowing them to teach in the F-FDTL”.
This course represents, in fact, a plus-value for the future of the institution. Through these new Timorese trainers, it will be possible to achieve greater quality in the elaboration of official documentation, improve communication in Portuguese both internally and with the Advisors, facilitating the performance of missions and functions in the future.
