FALINTIL-Forsa Defeza Timor-Leste (F-FDTL), through Defense Vice Colonel Manuel Freitas “MAUBUTI”, accompanied by his Vice Lieutenant Colonel Graduate José Pinto, visited RDTL cadet Sersan Taruna, Expery Jezinho Gomes Raúl at the Air Academy (UNIA), Jogjakarta Regional Special Area, Indonesia.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about and hear first-hand the cadet's progress through the management of the air academy where the training is being provided.
This visit is part of the annual program, to report to the RDTL Ministry of Defense and the FALINTIL-FDTL Command in Dili.
During the visit to the TNI AU Academy, Jogja, Indonesia, he was received by the Governor of the TNI Marsda Academy, Purwoko Aji, and the Deputy Commander of the Cadet Regiment.
On the other hand, the TNI AU Academy is satisfied with the performance of Cadet RDTL Expery in the physical part, and he also ranked thirteenth in his class.
Cadet RDTL Expery will also graduate in 2026 (3 years). Based on the new curriculum of the TNI Academy.
The visit went well and was filled with a warm atmosphere of friendship.

Chief of the General Staff of FALINTIL-Defense Forces of Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) Lieutenant General Domingos Raúl “FALUR RATE LAEK” participated in the inauguration ceremony of the residence of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola, in Praia dos Coqueiros, Dili.
In his speech, the designated Ambassador of the Republic of Angola in Timor-Leste, José Andrade de Lemos, said that this inauguration is an important step for cooperation between the two countries in the future, and that they can work together and explore the potential of both countries.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, Dr. José Ramos-Horta, the President of the Court of Appeal, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Vice-President of the Assembly of the Republic, a member of the IX Constitutional Government and the diplomatic corps designated in Timor-Leste.

The Chief of General Staff of FALINTIL-Timor-Leste Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Falur Rate Laek, received the visit of Ambassador Wan Hadfi Lutfan Bin Haji Abdul Latif, in his office at the Fatuhada Headquarters in Dili.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss bilateral cooperation in the military area between Timor-Leste and Brunei Darussalam.
The meeting also discussed the preparation of a joint exercise between the Brunei forces, the Gurkha Forces and the F-FDTL, to be held in Brunei.
In addition, in the future, members of the F-FDTL will be involved in the Operation Peace Support exercise, conducted by the Brunei Darussalam Force and the Malaysian Force, thus involving them in future UN missions.

The FALINTIL-Defense Forces of Timor-Leste Institution, together with the Ministry of Defence, held the National Flag Raising Ceremony in the first week of May, at the Headquarters in Fatuhada, Dili.
At this ceremony, the Chief of General Staff of the FALINTIL-FDTL, Lieutenant General Falur Rate Laek, as the inspector of the ceremony, asked the Headquarters and the Ministry of Defence to continue their cooperation.
"In the first week, we paraded to raise the flag to reinforce our feelings of patriotism and nationalism, especially our courage to serve the Institution and our country, our people with a sense of responsibility and concern and to perform our duties as professionals and trained individuals, always using uniformed means and equipment, and looking after the well-being of people and individuals. If used, at opportune moments and occasions, it is to show a good image to the forces.
The inspector also emphasized that it is more important to continue alerting all military personnel, maintain our spirit of national readiness, continue to show discipline and that all commanders at all levels must implement supplementary guidelines that ensure that units and components function well.

The FALINTIL-Forças de Defesa de Timor-Leste (F-FDTL) held a generational retreat with the aim of preparing leaders of new generations for the future. The retreat activity was carried out at the Land Forces Component in Baucau.
In an interview with the Chief of the General Staff of the FALINTIL-Forças de Defesa de Timor-Leste (F-FDTL), Lieutenant-General Falur Rate Laek said that, historically, the institution of the F-FDTL remains independent and has, in its majority, leaders with experience of combat in the future, which requires a future leadership which must include a strong nationalism and democratic consolidation.
The Lieutenant-General also explained that, hope and confidence in them, because they received academic training in the country and abroad, including the Institute of National Defense (IDN) needs to update and consolidate the new generation, strengthen their culture of education, culture of training and awareness as well as Timorese leadership, consolidation strong, and leadership that is democratic, visible for the future to command, as today our speakers talk about many values and principles that were spoken today, this is a consequence of command, in the institution of the FALINTIL-FDTL is the character of leadership before independence, but now after independence, independence leadership is now to go forward to make the preparation of transformation for future generations.
