Singapore, 30 May 2025.
In an interview with the Chief of General Staff of FALINTIL-Defense Forces of Timor-Leste, Lieutenant General Domingos Raúl, "FALUR RATE LAEK stated that cooperation between the two countries is very good, because many of our human resources were trained by China and many of our military personnel speak Chinese," he told Singapore.
"I see and hear from afar the development of China's forces as well as the United States'. I cannot compare the two forces, but I know that China and the United States are great powers and are fighting each other for development.
The Lieutenant General also stressed that China has invested heavily in the economy and that its important role is to engage in dialogue with the United States and other countries, so that everyone can reach consensus and find political solutions to negotiate and bring peace to the world.
Regarding military equipment, I have no space to talk about it. Anything that aims to destroy humanity and damage the property of the people's state, I do not participate in. I believe that money here develops the economy and supports the poor and needy of the world, who need help. Abolish the CEMGFA.

The Chief of General Staff of FALINTIL - Timor-Leste Defence Forces (F-FDTL), Lieutenant General Domingos Raúl "FALUR RATE LAEK", held a multilateral ASEAN ministerial meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel.
Timor-Leste needs to cooperate with many countries in the world, relations between Europe and ASEAN in a world full of crises, as we all know, such as Ukraine and Russia. He also mentioned Taiwan and what will happen if China invades Taiwan.
The Lieutenant General also mentioned that part of the Philippines' land in the South China Sea is occupied by China. The most important thing is that if we abandon the conflicts happening in the world, we will destroy our own credibility in the international world. For example, the Gajah conflict, if we are not careful, this conflict will lose our credibility.
He also spoke about the world being divided into two economic superpowers, the United States and China. The French president also spoke about how to preserve peace and stability while China and the United States compete to see who will dominate the world. France wants to cooperate with other countries and generally talks about how to maintain stability in Europe and also in the Indo-Pacific.
